Happy Mother’s day to all the moms in the world! I got a little scribbling done today but like everyone who is either a child or husband I’ve been doing my part to make a certain mom’s day somewhat special. In fact, Animation Creator HD helped my kids give their mother flowers, a crown, a necklace, earings, gold and silver (that a boy!), love, and dresses (they looked more like an apron, but that’s okay). We took a picture of mom and adorned her with cartoon versions of all the stuff the kids wished they could give her. The kids narrated the short film in classic Sesame Street fashion. It was awesome! She liked it.
As for my mom… you know when you were a kid and you would ask your mom to make you a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or for a glass of chocolate milk? She would say, “Tyrel, you’re big enough to get your own chocolate milk.” Do you remember? Sweet! Your name is Tyrel too? Well, that was her way of pushing you to gain a bit of independence so that when you grew up, or in my case when you finally grow up, you’ll be able to take care of yourself. Moms are the best! They love us kids so much. That being said, I got to say, and I think every kid out there will resonate with this, “But Mom, you make chocolate milk so much better than me.” Yep. independence is over rated. After all, my wife makes a killer cup of chocolate milk! 😉
